Demi Lovato on Relapse: 'I Want to Thank God for Keeping Me Alive and Well'

Pop singer Demi Lovato is thanking God for helping her survive a recent drug overdose that sent her into the hospital two weeks ago.

This relapse coming on the heels of her hit song "sober" - released last month - in which she admits in the song to struggling with her sobriety.

In a recent Instagram post, she thanks her fans for sticking by her and then says, "I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well."

Sources say she plans to check herself into rehab upon her release from the hospital.

"What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet," she writes.

She's vowing, “I will keep fighting.”

Lovato reportedly overdosed on drugs on July 24.
