Severe Weather Sweeps the Country from Flooding to Snowstorms

People along the East Coast are in for a cold and wet weekend as winter storm warnings are in effect for several states.

From the deep South to New England, a massive storm system is set to bring rain and several inches of snow.

The National Weather Service has issued flash flood watches in parts of Mississippi, central Alabama, and central Georgia today.

The area has already been suffering extreme flooding from the Mississippi River where some residents still can't get back into their homes.

Further north, Virginia and surrounding states are expecting up to half a foot of snow.

For cities such as Norfolk, Virginia and Charlotte and Raleigh in North Carolina, this will be the first time snow one inch or greater will stick since 2018.
