Alon and Hanna Wagner are Messianic Jews who immigrated to Jerusalem from the United States with their children. They ran a successful cleaning business in the United States and decided they would try to repeat the success in their new home. They soon found, however, that things in Israel were just not as easy as back home, and before long they found themselves in debt.

“Living in Israel is very expensive and the money I was making cleaning houses was not enough,” Alon told us.

“It was a lot of stress adapting to the culture and the country,” Hannah said. “There were a lot of mixed emotions, so it was not easy. There were many challenges that we had to go through.”

The Wagners kept working and believing God would help them. But there were days when they struggled to get by.

“It was very hard. There were a few times that we didn’t have enough for the food or to cover our bills,” Hannah remembers.

“Sometimes my wife said we have nothing to eat, so that was very hard for me,” said Alon, tears in his eyes. “We just prayed for the Lord to send help.”

That’s when a friend from their Messianic congregation told them about CBN Israel. First, we made sure the Wagner’s had enough food to get through this tough time. Then we met with the Wagners and taught them how to manage their business better. We even got them a professional floor polisher so they can do larger, better paying jobs.

“They bought that machine for me and thank God, because I was finally able to make some money,” Alon told us. “We live better and we can give a testimony to the others.”

“We are very grateful to CBN and this ministry,” Hannah said. “It has blessed us so much. My prayer is that you would receive one hundred times what you have put into this land and these families; that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, would bless you abundantly. Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, amen.”
