The Heart of Paul, Apostle of Christ

James Faulkner in Paul Apostle of Christ movie

Coming to theaters just in time for Easter is Affirm Films' Paul, Apostle of Christ, starring James Faulkner (HBO's Game of Thrones) and Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ).

And let me just tell you ... I'm excited. Really. Thrilled. This one looks good!

Here's a quick synopsis: Luke the physician risks his life to visit Paul, who is held captive in a Roman prison under Nero's rule. Together, they struggle against a determined emperor and the frailties of the human spirit in order to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ as an example to an unbelieving world.

"Our 'first-look' teaser shows both the dramatic heart and biblical authenticity of Paul, Apostle of Christ," Director and Screenwriter Andrew Hyatt said. "Each aspect of Paul's life is based on what we know from the Bible, and we set that true story in the perilous world of Rome in the time of Nero's persecution of Christians. It's a captivating, emotional drama that brings the Bible to life."

Now, we're getting a deeper look at the heart of Paul, Apostle of Christ with a brand-new peek at the upcoming Bible-based release. It features clips from Faulkner and Caviezel as they reflect on bringing the lives of Paul and Luke (respectively) to life for the big screen, as well as, great behind-the-scenes footage of the filming of Paul.
