Gasping for Air

Rehema's mother always keeps a watchful eye on her.

Her mother explained, “Ever since she was a baby, Rehema had trouble breathing. At night, she wakes up gasping for air. She’s in and out of the hospital almost every month and misses a lot of school.”

She slept so little, her health deteriorated.

“She eats very little. While her friends play, she sits quietly and watches, trying to hide her tears,” said Rehema’s mother.

As a widow, Rehema’s mother did everything she could to provide. Rehema was diagnosed with enlarged adenoids and needed surgery. But there was no way they could afford it.

“I decided to put my trust in God, because I knew He could help and heal her,” Mom said.

Then one day she learned about a medical ministry supported by Operation Blessing. She reached out to us and soon we arranged and paid Rehema’s surgery.  That simple procedure changed her life.

Her mom said, “I knelt down and thanked God for answering my prayers. Rehema is much more active now, because she can finally sleep and breathe well. She hasn’t missed a day of school since the surgery. And she eats and plays like all the other children.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. May God bless you.”
