About Our Ministries

What we do

Children's Outreach

CBN is dedicated to bringing the Word of God and the message of salvation to children throughout the world through programs and initiatives such as Superbook, an ongoing series of scripturally accurate animated stories that includes home and school teaching materials and interactive online experiences.

The Need

  • Research by George Barna and the Barna Institute of over 1,000 adults in May 2001 puts the probability at a person accepting Christ as their Savior at 32% for children between 5 and 13 years old, 4% for children between 14 and 18, and for people 19 years and older.
  • The rate of biblical illiteracy among children and adults continues to grow. According to a recent study conducted in the United Kingdom, nearly a quarter of children had never read, seen, or heard of Noah’s Ark or Adam and Eve.
  • The study also revealed that more than a third of youngsters questioned did not identify David and Goliath or the Good Samaritan as Bible stories.
  • Most importantly, the study showed that a quarter of all children had never heard of the Nativity and more than 40% had never heard of the crucifixion.

What We Have Accomplished Together

To date, millions of children have made the decision to follow Christ as a result of Superbook and other CBN programming.

  • In Tajikistan, a country with only a 0.04% Christian population, Orphan’s Promise is teaching children about Christ through Superbook episodes and curriculum.
  • South Africa’s national broadcaster SABC has begun airing Superbook, the first time it has aired CBN programming since the mid-1990’s. Nearly 20% of all viewers watching TV at the time tuned in to a recent episode.
  • According to Brown and Fraser, 162 million viewers in 83 countries watched at least one episode of Superbook in 2017 and 95 million recalled having sung the Salvation Poem song that concludes each broadcast.1

With your generosity, these programs bring hope and relief to those in need, as an expression of God's unfailing love.

Be Part of the Answer

When you give to CBN, you bring love, hope and life to desperately needy children. CBN partners have the confidence of knowing their gifts do so many things. Whether feeding the hungry, healing the sick, or broadcasting the Gospel, each gift changes lives here in America and around the world.

CBN is accredited by The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), a financial standards advocacy group that accredits organizations that comply with its strict financial standards.

  • 1. Brown and Fraser is a research company founded by Regent University professors Drs. William Brown and Benson Fraser. To prepare the 2017 survey, field teams overseen by Brown and Fraser completed 25,102 interviews in 44 cities or regions of 14 countries. Results of these 14-country studies and results from previous CBN international programming studies were then applied to project the probable audience sizes and programming effects in all nations receiving CBN programming.
